20+ Downtown Wheaton businesses raise funds for local causes with Rock the Block for Charity

 

Enjoy a free live music concert while shopping and dining to benefit
DoodleBug Workshop, DuPage PADS, People’s Resource Center

 

 

Wheaton, IL — Enjoy a rockin’ good time Downtown Wheaton – all for a good cause! Featuring a free outdoor concert by fan-favorite The Boy Band Night and charity givebacks while you shop and dine at 20 participating businesses, celebrate summer at Rock the Block for Charity on Thursday, August 31. Rock the Block is generously sponsored by First Trust Portfolios.

 

The following businesses are donating a percentage of their proceeds on August 31:

DoodleBug Workshop is Changing Lives One Tool at a Time by equipping the special needs community with vocational skills, fostering independence, and building self-esteem, all with the help of our volunteers in our community. 

DuPage PADS

Founded in 1985, DuPagePads is the largest provider of interim and permanent housing, coupled with support services in order to help individuals experiencing homelessness work toward becoming self-sufficient. DuPagePads’ mission is to end homelessness in DuPage County.

People’s Resource Center

Since 1975, the People’s Resource Center (PRC) community responds to basic human needs, promotes dignity and justice, and creates a future of hope and opportunity for the residents of DuPage County.
